Applicable Applications for anti-CD11/CD18 antibody
F, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FS, Immunoassay (IA), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Application Notes
Application Use: For immunohistology and flow cytometry dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. For functional studies dilutions have to be made according to the amounts activated CD11/CD18 to be inhibited.

Related Product Information for anti-CD11/CD18 antibody
Product Description: The monoclonal antibody 24 recognizes an epitope of 174 kD present on leukocyte integrins, CD11/CD18 or beta 2-type integrins. The leukocyte integrins are a family of heterodimeric receptors that mediate divalent cation-dependent cellular adhesion reactions. T cells use integrins in essentially all of their functions. Integrins become active following signalling through other membrane receptors, which cause both affinity alteration and an increase in integrin clustering. The monoclonal antibody 24 recognizes a structural feature and is strictly dependent upon the presence of Mg2+. The epitope is located within, or in close proximity to, the three conserved cation binding domains and therefore a measure of Mg2+ bound to the leukocyte integrins and thus reflects functionally active molecules. The epitope can be induced on polymorphonuclear leukocytes and on monocytes. Glu173 and Glu175 of the beta(2) I domain are identified as critical for antibody 24 binding. The monoclonal antibody 24 inhibits monocyte-dependent, antigen specific T cell proliferation and IL-2- activated natural killer cell assays. The antibody does not interfere with mitogen-stimulated T cell proliferation. Furthermore the monoclonal antibody 24 prevents œdeadhesion of receptor/ligand pairs, possible locking leukocyte integrins in an œactive conformation.

Product Notes

The CD11/CD18 (Catalog #AAA584422) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD11/CD18, Human, mAb 24 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD11/CD18 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, F, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FS, Immunoassay (IA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD11/CD18 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD11/CD18, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
