Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. After arrival store, divided into small aliquots, frozen at or below -20 degree C. Working dilutions may be prepared by adding the required amount of phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% Tween and 1 % (w/v) bovine serum albumin, should not be refrozen and preferably used within 24 hours. Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation and will not affect the performance of the product. At +4 degree C--1 year. At or below -20 degree C 3-5 years.
Related Product Information for Human IgA subclasses standard Serum serum
This is a standard is prepared by pooling serum obtained from a large number of qualified (healthy, non-medicated) adult blood donors. The determination of Gach of the subclasses was repeatE.'dly done by ELISA using monoclonal antisera to human IgA subclasses and isolated polycionallgA1 and IgA2 from normal human serum, as primary standards. Different IgA1 and IgA2 paraproteins were also used and the results did not differ from the polyclonal standards. To estimate the inter-assay variation, the secondary standard MBS571965 and he primary standards were screened several times on various days. The serum contains assigned values for each of the subclasses of IgA and for totallgA: IgA1--2.00 mg/ml. IgA2--0.20 mg/mI.TotallgA--2.20 mg/ml. Human Standard Serum MBS571965 has been tested and found negative for HbsAg and antibodies to HIV (HTLVIII). After filtration, accurate volumes of 0.25 ml are filled into vials. Human Standard Serum MBS571965 is intended for use as a calibrator to prepare standard curves in quantitative determinations of the subclasses of human IgA.

Product Notes

The Human IgA subclasses standard Serum (Catalog #AAA571965) is a Serum and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Human IgA subclasses standard Serum reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Human IgA subclasses standard Serum, Serum" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
