Interleukin-1 beta Recombinant Protein | IL-1 recombinant protein
Mouse Interleukin-1 beta Recombinant
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
and propeptide. The molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 17 kDa.
Recombinant IL-1 beta is a disulfide-linked monomer protein consisting of two 153 amino acid residue subunits. Recombinant IL-1 beta migrates as an approximately 17 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed to its active form by caspase 1. The encoded protein plays a role in thymocyte proliferation and is involved in the inflammatory response. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
Uniprot Description
IL1B: Produced by activated macrophages, IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells. Monomer. Belongs to the IL-1 family.
