Related Product Information for anti-IL-7 antibody
IL7 is secreted constitutively into the conditioned medium of adherent bone marrow stromal cells and thymic cells. Mouse and human keratinocytes have been shown also to express and secrete IL7.Human (152 amino acids; 17.4 kDa) and murine IL7 (129 amino acids) show 60 % sequence homology at the protein level. The human IL7 receptor is an integral strongly glycosylated membrane proteins of 76 kDa expressed on activated T-cells. This receptor has been designated as CD127. IL7 receptors are expressed on pre-B-cells and their progenitors. They are not expressed on mature B-cells. IL7 receptors are expressed also on bone marrow macrophages. Functional IL7 receptors are found on the cell surface of multiphenotypic, biphenotypic, and immature lymphoid progenitors of B- cells with the gene arrangement of the heavy immunoglobulin chain such as those observed in the germ line

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]

Uniprot Description

IL7: Hematopoietic growth factor capable of stimulating the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors. It is important for proliferation during certain stages of B-cell maturation. Belongs to the IL-7/IL-9 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IL-7 il7 (Catalog #AAA551161) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IL-7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-7 il7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
