NCBI Description
This gene encodes one of the protein subunits of the small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complexes: the endoribonuclease for mitochondrial RNA processing complex and the ribonuclease P complex. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleus and associates directly with the RNA component of these complexes. This protein is involved in processing of precursor RNAs. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Uniprot Description
POP4: Part of ribonuclease P, a protein complex that generates mature tRNA molecules by cleaving their 5'-ends. May function with RPP38 to coordinate the nucleolar targeting and/or assembly of RNase P. Belongs to the eukaryotic/archaeal RNase P protein component 1 family.

Product Notes
The POP4 pop4 (Catalog #
AAA544082) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The POP4 Antibody FITC-Conjugated reacts with Bovine, Cat, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Pig, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's POP4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), IMM, Western Blot (WB). Dot Blot: 1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:150 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the POP4 pop4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"POP4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
