NCBI Description

Bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 is a stromal cell line-derived glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that facilitates pre-B-cell growth. The deduced amino acid sequence exhibits 33% similarity with CD38. BST1 expression is enhanced in bone marrow stromal cell lines derived from patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The polyclonal B-cell abnormalities in rheumatoid arthritis may be, at least in part, attributed to BST1 overexpression in the stromal cell population. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

BST1: Synthesizes cyclic ADP-ribose, a second messenger that elicits calcium release from intracellular stores. May be involved in pre-B-cell growth. Belongs to the ADP-ribosyl cyclase family.

Product Notes

The BST1 bst1 (Catalog #AAA542576) is a Positive Control and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BST1 bst1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1, Positive Control" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
