Biological Significance
PF-4 is a CXC chemokine that is expressed in megakaryocytes and stored in the alpha-granules of platelets. PF-4 is chemotactic towards neutrophils and monocytes and has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis. Recombinant human PF-4 is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 70 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved residues present in CXC chemokines.
Bioactivity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human fibroblasts using a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Levels
Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per ug (1 EU/ug).
Expression System
E Coli
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C until reconstitution. Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The PF4 pf4v1 (Catalog #AAA539520) is an Active Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PF4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PF4 pf4v1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Region of PF4 protein correspond ing to amino acids EAEEDGDLQC LCVKTTSQVR PRHITSLEVI KAGPHCPTAQ LIATLKNGRK ICLDLQAPLY KKIIKKLLES. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PF4, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
