NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Transcriptional activator. Seems to be essential for sexual differentiation and formation of the primary steroidogenic tissues. Binds to the Ad4 site found in the promoter region of steroidogenic P450 genes such as CYP11A, CYP11B and CYP21B. Also regulates the AMH/Muellerian inhibiting substance gene as well as the AHCH and STAR genes. 5'-YCAAGGYC-3' and 5'-RRAGGTCA-3' are the consensus sequences for the recognition by NR5A1. The SFPQ-NONO-NR5A1 complex binds to the CYP17 promoter and regulates basal and cAMP-dependent transcriptional avtivity. Binds phosphatidylcholine (). Binds phospholipids with a phosphatidylinositol (PI) headgroup, in particular PI(3,4)P2 and PI(3,4,5)P3. Activated by the phosphorylation of NR5A1 by HIPK3 leading to increased steroidogenic gene expression upon cAMP signaling pathway stimulation.

Product Notes
The HIV1 protease (Catalog #AAA536030) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HIV1 protease antibody reacts with Binds to recombinant Protease (HIV -1). Not tested for sterility or endotoxin content. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HIV1 protease can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). If protein concentration is 1mg/ml, suggested starting dilutions are: ELISA and Western Blot 1:500-1:1,000 Optimal dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HIV1 protease for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HIV1 protease, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
