Biological Significance
ESE-1 (for epithelium-specific Ets), is a novel, highly tissue-restricted member of the ets transcription factor/oncogene family, which has features distinct from those of any other ets-related factor. ESE-1 binds with high affinity to and transactivates the ets binding site in the promoter of the keratinocyte terminal differentiation marker gene, SPRR2A. ESE-1 is a critical regulator of epithelial cell differentiation.
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen
ESE1 antibody was raised in rabbit using N terminal sequence MAATCEISNIFSNYFS and C terminal sequence SSGWKEEEVLQSRN of the human ESE-1 protein as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

ITSN1: Adapter protein that may provide indirect link between the endocytic membrane traffic and the actin assembly machinery. May regulate the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles. Involved in endocytosis of integrin beta-1 (ITGB1) and transferrin receptor (TFR); internalization of ITGB1 as DAB2-dependent cargo but not TFR may involve association with DAB2. Isoform 1 could be involved in brain-specific synaptic vesicle recycling. Inhibits ARHGAP31 activity toward RAC1. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Calcium-binding; GEFs; Adaptor/scaffold; GEFs, Rac/Rho

Cellular Component: neuron projection; cell projection; membrane; lamellipodium; endocytic vesicle; plasma membrane; terminal button; synapse; coated pit; cell junction

Molecular Function: protein binding; Rho guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity; guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity; metal ion binding; kinase activator activity; protein complex scaffold; calcium ion binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of catalytic activity; positive regulation of protein kinase B signaling cascade; small GTPase mediated signal transduction; regulation of Rho protein signal transduction; endocytosis; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; positive regulation of phosphorylation

Product Notes

The ESE1 itsn1 (Catalog #AAA535990) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ESE1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ESE1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ESE1 itsn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ESE1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
