NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a receptor for the anterior pituitary hormone, prolactin, and belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Prolactin-dependent signaling occurs as the result of ligand-induced dimerization of the prolactin receptor. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different membrane-bound and soluble isoforms have been described for this gene, which may function to modulate the endocrine and autocrine effects of prolactin in normal tissue and cancer. Uniprot Description
PRLR: receptor for the anterior pituitary hormone prolactin and placental lactogen I and II. Interacts with Cyclophilin A, differentially regulating various signaling pathways from the PrlR. Prolactin signaling is attenuated by threonine and tyrosine phosphorylation. Two alternative splice isoforms have been identified.

Product Notes
The PRLR prlr (Catalog #AAA5308893) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Prolactin Receptor, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
