Goat MK5/MAPKAPK5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-Mapkapk5 antibody
Goat anti-MK5/MAPKAPK5 (aa192-206) Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Kidney shows nuclear staining in the DCT. Recommended concentration, 4-8ug/ml.
Western Blot (WB)
(HEK293 lysate (10ug protein in RIPA buffer) overexpressing Mouse MK5-GFP (first lane) or Mouse MK2-GFP (second lane) probed with (0.5ug/ml) in right panel and with (0.5ug/ml) on left panel, Primary incubations were for 2 hours. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Western Blot (WB)
(And (1.5ug) immunoprecipitations from lysates of MK5/ERK3 double knockout MEFs, with (third and fifth lanes) and without (fourth and sixth lanes) rescued MK5/ERK3 expression through retroviral transduction. The corresponding lysates (first and second lane resp. ) were analyzed in parallel in this Western blot labelled with mouse anti-MK5 / PRAK (and co-precipitation was measured using rabbit anti-ERK3 in the lower panel).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
((5ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Kidney. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a tumor suppressor and member of the serine/threonine kinase family. In response to cellular stress and proinflammatory cytokines, this kinase is activated through its phosphorylation by MAP kinases including MAPK1/ERK, MAPK14/p38-alpha, and MAPK11/p38-beta. The encoded protein is found in the nucleus but translocates to the cytoplasm upon phosphorylation and activation. This kinase phosphorylates heat shock protein HSP27 at its physiologically relevant sites. Two alternately spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000. Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Kidney shows nuclear staining in the DCT. Recommended concentration, 4-8ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Mapkapk5 mapkapk5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: PQVLEAQRRH QKEKS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MK5/MAPKAPK5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
