Porcine Chromogranin A ELISA Kit | CHGA elisa kit

Porcine Chromogranin A ELISA Kit

Gene Names
CHGA; CGA
Reactivity
Porcine
Synonyms
Chromogranin A; Porcine Chromogranin A ELISA Kit; CHGA elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Porcine
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Porcine CHGA and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
15.6 ng/ml - 500 ng/ml.
Sensitivity
2.0 ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated CHGA concentrations in Porcine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Porcine CHGA antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add CHGA and CHGA antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of CHGA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown. Uniprot Description

CHGA: a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells and is a precursor to multiple biologically active peptides including vasostatin, pancreastatin, and chromostatin. Binds calcium with a low-affinity. Vasostatin negatively regulates angiogenesis and has antibacterial activity against some Gram-positive bacteria. Pancreastatin inhibits glucose induced insulin release from the pancreas. Chromostatin inhibits catecholamine release from chromaffin cells.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Vesicle; Secreted; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q32

Cellular Component: perinuclear region of cytoplasm; extracellular region; secretory granule

Biological Process: regulation of blood pressure

Product Notes

The Porcine CHGA chga (Catalog #AAA036506) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA036506 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine CHGA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chromogranin A, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
