The antisera were raised in rabbits which were immunized with Substance P covalently attached onto a carrier protein. The pooled antisera were characterized by RIA. ELISA. and cell staining techniques. The IgG fraction was prepared by precipitation. dialysis. and column chromatography. This purified antibody is specific for Substance P and is suitable for use in immunocytochemical and ELISA techniques. Dilute the lyophilized antibody with 0.1 ml of 10 mg/ml BSA in PBS for the equivalent concentration of IgG in whole antiserum. or with additional buffer for more dilute antibody. Protein concentration: 2.7 mg/vial
