Related Product Information for anti-IFNbeta antibody
The genes encoding type I interferons (IFNs), which include 14 IFN-alpha genes, one IFN-beta gene, one IFN-w (also known as IFN-alpha II1) gene, and a number of IFN-w pseudogenes, are clustered on human chromosome 9. Interferons-alpha and -beta are cytokines that are widely known to induce potent antiviral activity. IFN-alpha and -beta exert a variety of other biological effects, including antitumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases. IFN-w is antigenically different from human IFN-alpha, IFN-beta or IFN-gamma, but is a component of natural mixtures of IFN species produced by virus-induced leukocytes or Burkitt's lymphoma cells. The type I interferon receptor (IFN-alphaR) interacts with IFN-alpha, IFN-beta and IFN-w, and seems to be a multisubunit receptor.

Product Notes

The IFNbeta ifnb1 (Catalog #AAA3014699) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IFN beta polyclonal antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IFN beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFNbeta ifnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFN beta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
