Uniprot Description
MEMO1: a highly conserved protein that controls cell migration by relaying extracellular chemotactic signals to the microtubule cytoskeleton. Regulates directionality during HER2-dependent cell migration. Controls microtubules, the actin network, and adhesion site formation in migrating cells via the MEMO1-RHOA-DIAPH1 signaling pathway. Homologous to class III nonheme iron-dependent dioxygenases. No metal-binding or enzymatic activity has been detected. Binds HER2 phosphorylated at Y1222 via its vestigial enzymatic active site. Binds to and influences insulin-like growth factor-I (IRS1) receptor-dependent signaling events in breast carcinogenesis. Influences the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) via the IRS1/PI3K/Akt/Snail1 pathway. Interacts with cofilin, and influences PLCg1 and cofilin activities. Increased expression is associated with cancer aggressiveness. The MEMO1-RHOA-DIAPH1 signaling pathway plays an important role in ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex. It controls the localization of APC and CLASP2 to the cell membrane, via the regulation of GSK3B activity. In turn, membrane-bound APC allows the localization of the MACF1 to the cell membrane, which is required for microtubule capture and stabilization. Two isoform of the human protein are produced by alternatuve splicing.

Product Notes
The MEMO1 memo1 (Catalog #AAA3009264) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MEMO1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEMO1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MEMO1 memo1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MEMO1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
