Related Product Information for EDF1 elisa kit
Endothelial differentiation-related factor 1 is a protein that may regulate endothelial cell differentiation. It has been postulated that the protein functions as a bridging molecule that interconnects regulatory proteins and the basal transcriptional machinery, thereby modulating the transcription of genes involved in endothelial differentiation.
This protein has also been found to act as a transcriptional coactivator by interconnecting the general transcription factor TATA element-binding protein (TBP) and gene-specific activators. Two alternatively spliced transcripts which encode distinct proteins have been found for this gene.Expressed in brain, liver, lung, kidney and heart (at protein level). Ubiquitously expressed. More abundant in heart, pancreas, liver, intestine and adipose tissues.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate EDF1 in samples. An antibody specific for EDF1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyEDF1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for EDF1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EDF1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Product Notes

The Chicken EDF1 edf1 (Catalog #AAA285512) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA285512 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken EDF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Endothelial differentiation-related factor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
