Human Interleukin-27 ELISA Kit | IL27RA elisa kit
Human Interleukin-27 receptor subunit alpha (IL27RA) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate IL-17 in Human serum, plasma. An antibody specific for IL-17 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL-17 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL-17 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-17 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
In mice, CD4+ helper T-cells differentiate into type 1 (Th1) cells, which are critical for cell-mediated immunity, predominantly under the influence of IL12. Also, IL4 influences their differentiation into type 2 (Th2) cells, which are critical for most antibody responses. Mice deficient in these cytokines, their receptors, or associated transcription factors have impaired, but are not absent of, Th1 or Th2 immune responses. This gene encodes a protein which is similar to the mouse T-cell cytokine receptor Tccr at the amino acid level, and is predicted to be a glycosylated transmembrane protein. Uniprot Description
IL27RA: Receptor for IL27. Requires IL6ST/gp130 to mediate signal transduction in response to IL27. This signaling system acts through STAT3 and STAT1. Involved in the regulation of Th1- type immune responses. Also appears to be involved in innate defense mechanisms. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 2 subfamily.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.12
Cellular Component: integral component of plasma membrane; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: interleukin-27 receptor activity; transmembrane receptor activity
Biological Process: cell surface receptor signaling pathway; defense response to Gram-positive bacterium; immune response; negative regulation of T-helper 2 type immune response; positive regulation of interferon-gamma production; positive regulation of T-helper 1 type immune response; regulation of isotype switching to IgG isotypes

Product Notes
The Human IL27RA il27ra (Catalog #AAA283910) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA283910 ELISA Kit recognizes Human IL27RA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin-27, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
