The minimum detectable dose of this kit is typically less than 26.6pg/mL.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FGF1 elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) and unlabeled Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) in the sample.

Uniprot Description

Plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Functions as potent mitogen in vitro. Acts as a ligand for FGFR1 and integrins. Binds to FGFR1 in the presence of heparin leading to FGFR1 dimerization and activation via sequential autophosphorylation on tyrosine residues which act as docking sites for interacting proteins, leading to the activation of several signaling cascades. Binds to integrin ITGAV:ITGB3. Its binding to integrin, subsequent ternary complex formation with integrin and FGFR1, and the recruitment of PTPN11 to the complex are essential for FGF1 signaling. Induces the phosphorylation and activation of FGFR1, FRS2, MAPK3/ERK1, MAPK1/ERK2 and AKT1. Can induce angiogenesis ().

Product Notes

The Cattle FGF1 fgf1 (Catalog #AAA2707374) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2707374 ELISA Kit recognizes Cattle FGF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast Growth Factor 1 (FGF1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
