Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) ELISA Kit | FGF1 elisa kit
Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse FGF1 antibody. FGF1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse FGF1 Antibody is added and binds to FGF1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FGF1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse FGF1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Functions as potent mitogen in vitro. Acts as a ligand for FGFR1 and integrins. Binds to FGFR1 in the presence of heparin leading to FGFR1 dimerization and activation via sequential autophosphorylation on tyrosine residues which act as docking sites for interacting proteins, leading to the activation of several signaling cascades. Binds to integrin ITGAV:ITGB3. Its binding to integrin, subsequent ternary complex formation with integrin and FGFR1, and the recruitment of PTPN11 to the complex are essential for FGF1 signaling. Induces the phosphorylation and activation of FGFR1, FRS2, MAPK3/ERK1, MAPK1/ERK2 and AKT1. Can induce angiogenesis ().

Product Notes
The Mouse FGF1 fgf1 (Catalog #AAA161312) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA161312 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse FGF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
