Related Product Information for GLUD2 elisa kit
Priciple of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human GLUD2 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is localized to the mitochondrion and acts as a homohexamer to recycle glutamate during neurotransmission. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reversible oxidative deamination of glutamate to alpha-ketoglutarate. This gene is intronless.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]

Uniprot Description

GLUD2: Important for recycling the chief excitatory neurotransmitter, glutamate, during neurotransmission. Homohexamer. Expressed in retina, testis and, at a lower level, brain. Belongs to the Glu/Leu/Phe/Val dehydrogenases family.

Protein type: Mitochondrial; Oxidoreductase; Energy Metabolism - nitrogen; Amino Acid Metabolism - alanine, aspartate and glutamate; Other Amino Acids Metabolism - D-Glutamine and D-glutamate; Amino Acid Metabolism - arginine and proline; EC 1.4.1.3

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq24-q25

Cellular Component: mitochondrion; cytoplasm

Product Notes

The Human GLUD2 glud2 (Catalog #AAA2602635) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2602635 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GLUD2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glutamate dehydrogenase 2, mitochondrial, GLUD2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
