Related Product Information for ERP72 / PDIA4 recombinant protein
Background: ERP72, also known as PDIA4, is an endoplasmic reticulum luminal protein which belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. ERP72 is a stress protein and participates in the catalysis of protein-S-S-bond rearrangement. Both of PDIA4 and PDIA3 function as proteases, protein disulfide isomerases, phospholipases or an arrangement of these. ERP72 compose part of a large chaperone multiprotein complex comprising CABP1, DNAJB11, HSP90B1, HSPA5, HYOU, PDIA2, PDIA4, PPIB, SDF2L1, UGT1A1 and very small amounts of ERP29, but not, or at very low levels, CALR nor CANX.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human PDIA4 (P13667) (Met1-Thr641) was expressed, fused with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the disulfide isomerase (PDI) family of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions. The encoded protein has an N-terminal ER-signal sequence, three catalytically active thioredoxin (TRX) domains, two TRX-like domains and a C-terminal ER-retention sequence. This protein, when bound to cyclophilin B, enhances the rate of immunoglobulin G intermolecular disulfide bonding and antibody assembly. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]

Product Notes

The ERP72 / PDIA4 pdia4 (Catalog #AAA2545332) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human PDIA4/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 862 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 97.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 96 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ERP72 / PDIA4 pdia4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ERP72 / PDIA4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
