Related Product Information for anti-CREB-1 antibody
This protein binds the cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence presentin many viral and cellular promoters. CREB stimulates transcription on binding to the CRE. Transcription activation is enhanced by the TORC coactivators which act independently of Ser-133 phosphorylation.Implicated in synchronization of circadian rhythmicity.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]

Uniprot Description

CREB: a transcription factor of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. Binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE). Phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CREB-1 creb1 (Catalog #AAA2539788) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-CREB-1 (S133) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CREB-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB, IHC-p-, IF, ELISA. WB 1:500-1:2000
IHC 1:100-1:300
IF 1:100-1-1:300
ELISA 1:5000-1:20000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CREB-1 creb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CREB-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
