Mouse HNF4a (Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 4 Alpha) CLIA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to HNF4a. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for HNF4a and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain HNF4a, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of HNF4a. You can calculate the concentration of HNF4a in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
steriod horomone receptor; involved in promoting transcription [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
HNF4 alpha: a nuclear transcription factor which binds DNA as a homodimer. Controls the expression of several genes, including hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 alpha, a transcription factor which regulates the expression of several hepatic gene, alpha 1-antitrypsin, apolipoprotein CIII, and transthyretin genes. May be essential for development of the liver, kidney and intestine. Mutations have been associated with monogenic autosomal dominant non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus type I. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Mouse HNF4a hnf4a (Catalog #AAA2533118) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2533118 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse HNF4a. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HNF4a (Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 4 Alpha), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
