Related Product Information for CAP1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Chicken CAP1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CAP1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for CAP1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain CAP1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of CAP1. You can calculate the concentration of CAP1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

displays a specific localization pattern to the anterior-ventral surface of the equatorial segment; may play a role in sperm-egg interactions and fertilization [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

DJ-1: associated with autosomal recessive early onset parkinsonism. Involved in the oxidative stress response. Three cysteines in DJ-1 may be oxidized to cysteine sulphonic acid in the cellular response to H2O2. Loss of DJ-1 function may lead to neurodegeneration.

Product Notes

The Chicken CAP1 park7 (Catalog #AAA2506022) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2506022 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken CAP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CAP1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
