NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a putative protein kinase that is induced by the transcription factor NF-kappaB. The encoded protein is a negative regulator of NF-kappaB and can also sensitize cells to TNF- and TRAIL-induced apoptosis. In addition, this protein can negatively regulate the cell survival serine-threonine kinase AKT1. Differential promoter usage and alternate splicing result in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
TRB3: a Ca(2)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase of the Trbl family. Induced by the transcription factor NF-kappaB. The encoded protein is a negative regulator of NF-kappaB and can also sensitize cells to TNF- and TRAIL-induced apoptosis. May negatively regulate the cell survival kinase AKT1.

Product Notes
The TRB3 trib3 (Catalog #AAA244128) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human TRB3 / TRIB3 reacts with Gorilla, Human Predicted Reactivity: Gibbon, Monkey (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRB3 / TRIB3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (5 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRB3 trib3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRB3 / TRIB3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
