Related Product Information for anti-PAK2 antibody
PAK2, a PAK (STE20) type protein kinase, functions in the regulation of the biochemistry and morphology of the apoptotic cell. The protein is activated in response to a variety of stresses, including DNA damage, hyperosmolarity, addition of sphingosine, serum starvation and contact inhibition. Specifically, PAK2 is activated through proteolytic cleavage by capsase 3 during apoptosis.

NCBI Description

The p21 activated kinases (PAK) are critical effectors that link Rho GTPases to cytoskeleton reorganization and nuclear signaling. The PAK proteins are a family of serine/threonine kinases that serve as targets for the small GTP binding proteins, CDC42 and RAC1, and have been implicated in a wide range of biological activities. The protein encoded by this gene is activated by proteolytic cleavage during caspase-mediated apoptosis, and may play a role in regulating the apoptotic events in the dying cell. Uniprot Description

PAK2: a protein kinase of the STE20 family. Critical effector linking RhoGTPases to cytoskeleton reorganization and nuclear signaling. Activated by proteolytic cleavage during caspase-mediated apoptosis, and may play a role in regulating the apoptotic events in the dying cell.

Product Notes

The PAK2 pak2 (Catalog #AAA240387) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human PAK2 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PAK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB). IHC-P (2.5 ug/ml), WB Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antib.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAK2 pak2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PAK2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
