Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Related Product Information for anti-CCL14 antibody
Mouse anti Human CCL14 antibody, clone B12-1D8, recognizes C-C motif chemokine 14, also known as HCC1 and NCC-2. CCL14 is a CC-type chemokine which is constitutively expressed in many tissues (Gu et al. 2020), and present at very high concentrations in normal human plasma (Savino et al. 2009). This chemokine is involved with activation of immune cells, promoting chemotaxis of monocytes, eosinophils, and T lymphoblasts. CCL14 is involved with pathogenesis of allergic airway inflammation and some cancers. It has been identified as a prognostic biomarker in hepatocellular carcinoma, where it modules the cell cycle and promotes apoptosis (Zhu et al. 2019).

This purified Mouse anti Human CCL14 antibody, clone B12-1D8 can be used as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL14 antibody, clone B02-1G7 as the detection antibody.

NCBI Description

This gene, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 14, is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on 17q11.2. The CC cytokines are secreted proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene induces changes in intracellular calcium concentration and enzyme release in monocytes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Read-through transcripts are also expressed that include exons from the upstream cytokine gene, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 15, and are represented as GeneID: 348249. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]

Uniprot Description

CCL14: Has weak activities on human monocytes and acts via receptors that also recognize MIP-1 alpha. It induced intracellular Ca(2+) changes and enzyme release, but no chemotaxis, at concentrations of 100-1,000 nM, and was inactive on T-lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophil leukocytes. Enhances the proliferation of CD34 myeloid progenitor cells. The processed form HCC-1(9-74) is a chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes eosinophils, and T-cells and is a ligand for CCR1, CCR3 and CCR5. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q12

Product Notes

The CCL14 ccl14 (Catalog #AAA226080) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human CCL14 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL14 ccl14 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL14, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
