Related Product Information for anti-DOK2 antibody
Rabbit anti DOK2 (pTyr299) antibody recognizes docking protein 2 (DOK2), also known as dok-2 and downstream of tyrosine kinase 2, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 299. DOK2 belongs to the downstream of tyrosine kinase (Dok) family of adaptor proteins involved in receptor signaling.

DOK2 is phosphorylated by Bcr-Abl, receptor tyrosine kinases and also cytoplasmIc protein tyrosine kinases (G©rard et al. 2004).

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is constitutively tyrosine phosphorylated in hematopoietic progenitors isolated from chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) patients in the chronic phase. It may be a critical substrate for p210(bcr/abl), a chimeric protein whose presence is associated with CML. This encoded protein binds p120 (RasGAP) from CML cells. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

DOK proteins are enzymatically inert adaptor or scaffolding proteins. They provide a docking platform for the assembly of multimolecular signaling complexes. DOK2 may modulate the cellular proliferation induced by IL-4, as well as IL-2 and IL-3. May be involved in modulating Bcr-Abl signaling. Attenuates EGF-stimulated MAP kinase activation ().

Product Notes

The DOK2 dok2 (Catalog #AAA225223) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti DOK2 (pTyr299) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DOK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-Paraffin: 1:50-1:100 WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DOK2 dok2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DOK2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
