Related Product Information for anti-CD205 antibody
Mouse anti Human CD205 antibody, clone HD30 specifically recognizes CD205, otherwise known as DEC205, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the macrophage mannose receptor family of C-type lectins, predominantly expressed by human dendritic cells. CD205 is a recycled endocytic receptor involved in directing antigen uptake for processing and presentation by MHC class I. CD205 isoforms 2 and 3, generated from the cotranscription of mRNA containing LY75 and CD302 (DCL1), are expressed in malignant Hodgkin's lymphoma cells.

NCBI Description

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring lymphocyte antigen 75 (LY75) and CD302 molecule (CD302) genes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding fusion products that share sequence identity with each individual gene product. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

LY75: Acts as an endocytic receptor to direct captured antigens from the extracellular space to a specialized antigen- processing compartment. Causes reduced proliferation of B-lymphocytes. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q24

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane

Molecular Function: receptor activity; carbohydrate binding

Biological Process: immune response; endocytosis; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The CD205 ly75 (Catalog #AAA224500) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD205 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of suggested working dilution 106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: Neat. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD205 ly75 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD205, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
