Host
Sheep
Reactivity
Human, Mouse
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
This item specifically recognises an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of endothelin B receptor (ET-B), a widely distributed transmembrane protein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, which acts as a non-specific receptor for endothelin 1, 2, and 3, and mediates its action by G protein association and activation of a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. This item recognizes epitopes on the cytoplasmic side of the receptor and therefore the cell membrane must be permeable to the antibody. This item does not block the binding of endothelins. This item is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on acetone fixed cells.

Uniprot Description

ETB: a G protein-coupled receptor which activates a phosphatidylinoitol-calcium second messenger system. Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3. Studies suggest that the multigenic disorder, Hirschsprung disease type 2, is due to mutation in endothelin receptor type B gene. Essential component in the normal development of two neuronal crest-derived cell lineages. Two splice variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Ednrb ednrb (Catalog #AAA223880) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SHEEP ANTI RAT ENDOTHELIN B RECEPTOR (C-TERMINAL) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ENDOTHELIN B RECEPTOR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistology Paraffin. Immunofluorescence: Minimum Dilution: 10; Maximum Dilution: 20ug/ml; Immunoprecipitation: Minimum Dilution: 20; Maximum Dilution: 40ug/ml; Immunohistology - Paraffin: Minimum Dilution: 10; Maximum Dilution: 20ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ednrb ednrb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ENDOTHELIN B RECEPTOR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
