Related Product Information for anti-TNNI3 antibody
Goat anti Human Troponin I antibody recognizes human cardiac-specific troponin I, (TnI) an integral inhibitory protein of cardiac muscle which exists as a complex with troponin C (TnC) and troponin T (TnT). The TnT subunit of troponin binds to tropomyosin to form a troponin-tropomyosin complex, anchored in place by the binding of TnI to actin, within muscle thin filaments. Structural change resulting from the binding of calcium to specific sites on the regulatory TnC subunit, releases the inhibitory region of TnI from actin, enabling the attachment of the molecular motor protein myosin, allowing for muscle contraction and hence movement. The measurement of blood TnI and TnT levels is an important indicator of heart muscle damage, and can be used to differentiate between angina and myocardic infarction in patients with chest pain. Troponin I has also been shown to inhibit angiogenesis in vivo and in vitro.

NCBI Description

Troponin I (TnI), along with troponin T (TnT) and troponin C (TnC), is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle. TnI is the inhibitory subunit; blocking actin-myosin interactions and thereby mediating striated muscle relaxation. The TnI subfamily contains three genes: TnI-skeletal-fast-twitch, TnI-skeletal-slow-twitch, and TnI-cardiac. This gene encodes the TnI-cardiac protein and is exclusively expressed in cardiac muscle tissues. Mutations in this gene cause familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 7 (CMH7) and familial restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TNNI3: Troponin I is the inhibitory subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. Binds to actin and tropomyosin. Interacts with TRIM63. Interacts with STK4/MST1. Belongs to the troponin I family.

Product Notes

The TNNI3 tnni3 (Catalog #AAA221540) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TROPONIN I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNNI3 tnni3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TROPONIN I, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
