Related Product Information for anti-CD62E/CD62P antibody
Mouse anti Human CD62E/CD62P antibody, clone 1.2B6 recognizes the human CD62E and CD62P cell surface antigens. Although previously thought to recognize only human CD62E, recent data (Goda et al. 2003) shows that Mouse anti Human CD62E/CD62P antibody, clone 1.2B6 also recognizes human CD62P, binding to a common epitope shared by these members of the selectin family.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is found in cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and is thought to be responsible for the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining. It exhibits structural features such as the presence of lectin- and EGF-like domains followed by short consensus repeat (SCR) domains that contain 6 conserved cysteine residues. These proteins are part of the selectin family of cell adhesion molecules. Adhesion molecules participate in the interaction between leukocytes and the endothelium and appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

SELE: Cell-surface glycoprotein having a role in immunoadhesion. Mediates in the adhesion of blood neutrophils in cytokine-activated endothelium through interaction with PSGL1/SELPLG. May have a role in capillary morphogenesis. Belongs to the selectin/LECAM family.

Product Notes

The CD62E/CD62P sele (Catalog #AAA216652) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD62E/CD62P can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen*, ELISA (EIA), Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)*. Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Immunohistology - Frozen: Minimum Dilution: 1ug/ml; Maximum Dilution: 10ug/ml; Application Note: The epitope recognised by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. MyBioSource recommends the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 10ug/ml Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: 10ug/ml Western Blotting: Application Note: Clone 1.2B6 recognizes human CD62E/CD62P only under non-reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD62E/CD62P sele for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD62E/CD62P, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
