Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FFAR3 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Free Fatty Acid Receptor 3 (FFAR3). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Free Fatty Acid Receptor 3 (FFAR3). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Free Fatty Acid Receptor 3 (FFAR3), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Free Fatty Acid Receptor 3 (FFAR3) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

FFAR3: Receptor for short chain fatty acids. The activity of this receptor is coupled to the formation of inositol 1,4,5- trisphosphate, intracellular Ca2+ mobilization, the activation of ERK 1/2 and inhibition of intracellular cAMP accumulation. Coupled exclusively to the pertussis toxin-sensitive G(i/o)-alpha protein. The rank order of potency for agonists of this receptor is propionate = pentanoate = butyrate > acetate > formate. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.1

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; lipid binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; mucosal immune response; positive regulation of cytokine production during immune response; positive regulation of acute inflammatory response to non-antigenic stimulus; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase inhibiting pathway; negative regulation of blood pressure; regulation of norepinephrine secretion; inflammatory response; regulation of hormone biosynthetic process; positive regulation of chemokine production

Product Notes

The Mouse FFAR3 ffar3 (Catalog #AAA2023161) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2023161 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse FFAR3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Free Fatty Acid Receptor 3 (FFAR3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
