This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF. It is inseted BamH I to Xho I. The gene insert contains multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene and recombination site into your expression vector.
Vector
(puc19-derived cloning vector)
Preparation Before Usage
1. Centrifuge at 7000rpm for 1 minute. 2. Carefully open the vial and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA. Each tube contains approximately 10ug of lyophilized plasmid.
Preparation and Storage
Store the plasmid at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for AES cdna clone
Amino-terminal enhancer of split, also known AES, belongs to the groucho/TLE family of proteins, can function as a homooligomer or as a heteroologimer with other family members to dominantly repress the expression of other family member genes. This protein is expressed predominately in fetal brain, liver, lung, heart and kidney and in adult muscle. In addition, AES can repress NFkB-regulated gene expression and is thought to play an important role in initiating and maintaining cell differentiation events.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is similar in sequence to the amino terminus of Drosophila enhancer of split groucho, a protein involved in neurogenesis during embryonic development. The encoded protein, which belongs to the groucho/TLE family of proteins, can function as a homooligomer or as a heteroologimer with other family members to dominantly repress the expression of other family member genes. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

AES: Acts as dominant repressor towards other family members. Inhibits NF-kappa-B-regulated gene expression. May be required for the initiation and maintenance of the differentiated state. Belongs to the WD repeat Groucho/TLE family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription, coactivator/corepressor; Nuclear receptor co-regulator

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.3

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; transcription corepressor activity

Biological Process: organ morphogenesis; Wnt receptor signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of growth; multicellular organismal development; cellular response to extracellular stimulus; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of protein binding; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; skeletal development

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AES, cDNA Clone" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
