Related Product Information for anti-SYT7 antibody
Synaptotagmins constitute a family of membrane trafficking proteins that are characterized by an N terminal transmembrane region (TMR), a variable linker, and two C-terminal C2 domains: C2A and C2B. There are 15 members in the mammalian synaptotagmin family. The synaptotagmins are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to act as Ca+2 sensors in vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Calcium binding to synaptotagmin triggers neurotransmitter release at the synapse. The first C2 domain mediates -dependent phospholipid binding. Ca+2 The second C2 domain mediates interaction with Stonin 2.

NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the synaptotagmin gene family and encodes a protein similar to other family members that mediate calcium-dependent regulation of membrane trafficking in synaptic transmission. A similar protein in rodents mediates hormone secretion and lysosome exocytosis. In humans, expression of this gene has been associated with prostate cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]

Product Notes
The SYT7 syt7 (Catalog #
AAA190917) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Synaptotagmin-7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot (IB). Immunoblotting: Use at 1ug/ml. Other isoforms of ~65kDa are also detected. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SYT7 syt7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Synaptotagmin-7, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
