Related Product Information for CXCL1 elisa kit
Principle of the assay: mouse CXCL1 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for CXCL1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(E. coli, R20-K96) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CXCL1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse CXCL1 amount of sample captured in plate.
Background: Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that was previously called GRO1 oncogene, GROalpha, KC, Neutrophil-activating protein 3 (NAP-3) and melanoma growth stimulating activity, alpha (MSGA-alpha). In humans, this protein is encoded by the CXCL1 gene. The gene for CXCL1 is located on human chromosome 4 amongst genes for other CXC chemokines. The mature form of CXCL1 is maximally 73 amino acids long. CXCL1 is secreted by human melanoma cells, has mitogenic properties and is implicated in melanoma pathogenesis. CXCL1 is expressed by macrophages, neutrophils and epithelial cells, and has neutrophil chemoattractant activity. This chemokine elicits its effects by signaling through the chemokine receptor CXCR2.CXCL1 decreased the severity of multiple sclerosis and may offer a neuro-protective function. The standard product used in this kit is recombinant mouse CXCL1, consisting of 77 amino acids with the molecular mass of 8KDa.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. In mouse, deficiency of this gene is associated with colitis and with defects in immune cell recruitment to the lung. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]

Uniprot Description

CXCL2: Produced by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation. Hematoregulatory chemokine, which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. GRO-beta(5-73) shows a highly enhanced hematopoietic activity. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes

The Mouse CXCL1 cxcl1 (Catalog #AAA175855) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA175855 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CXCL1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCL1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
