Related Product Information for EST1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Rabbit V-ETS Erythroblastosis Virus E26 Oncogene Homolog 1 (also known as EST1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rabbit EST1 antibody. EST1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rabbit EST1 Antibody is added and binds to EST1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated EST1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rabbit EST1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the ETS family of transcription factors, which are defined by the presence of a conserved ETS DNA-binding domain that recognizes the core consensus DNA sequence GGAA/T in target genes. These proteins function either as transcriptional activators or repressors of numerous genes, and are involved in stem cell development, cell senescence and death, and tumorigenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

Uniprot Description

Transcription factor. Directly controls the expression of cytokine and chemokine genes in a wide variety of different cellular contexts. May control the differentiation, survival and proliferation of lymphoid cells. May also regulate angiogenesis through regulation of expression of genes controlling endothelial cell migration and invasion.

Product Notes

The Rabbit EST1 ets1 (Catalog #AAA1601625) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1601625 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit EST1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "V-ETS Erythroblastosis Virus E26 Oncogene Homolog 1 (EST1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
