NCBI Description
Relaxins are known endocrine and autocrine/paracrine hormones, belonging to the insulin gene superfamily. In the human there are three non-allelic relaxin genes, RLN1, RLN2 and RLN3. RLN1 and RLN2 share high sequence homology. Relaxin is produced by the ovary, and targets the mammalian reproductive system to ripen the cervix, elongate the pubic symphysis and inhibit uterine contraction. It may have additional roles in enhancing sperm motility, regulating blood pressure, controlling heart rate and releasing oxytocin and vasopressin. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the relaxin family. The active form of the encoded protein consists of an A chain and a B chain but their cleavage sites are not definitely described yet. It may play a role in neuropeptide signaling processes. Product Notes
The RLN3 rln3 (Catalog #AAA153541) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RLN3 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RLN3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). RLN3 antibody can be used for detection of RLN3 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RLN3 rln3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RLN3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
