NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the tweety family of proteins. Members of this family function as chloride anion channels. The encoded protein functions as a calcium(2+)-independent, volume-sensitive large conductance chloride(-) channel. Three transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]

Uniprot Description

TTYH1: Probable chloride channel. May be involved in cell adhesion. Belongs to the tweety family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The TTYH1 ttyh1 (Catalog #AAA152542) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TTYH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). TTYH1 peptide is used for blocking the activity of TTYH1 antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TTYH1 ttyh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TTYH1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
