Related Product Information for CLEC1B recombinant protein
Introduction: C-type Lectin Domain Family 1 Member B, also known as CLEC1B. NK-Natural killer cells express multiple calcium-dependent (C-type) lectin-like receptors, for instance CD94 (KLRD1; MIM 602894) and NKG2D (KLRC4; MIM 602893), which interact with major histocompatibility complex class I molecules and either inhibit or else activate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. CLEC1B is a C-type lectin-like receptor which is expressed in myeloid cells as well as in NK cells.

Description: CLEC1B Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 198 amino acids (55-229 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 23.1kDa. CLEC1B is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Uniprot Description

CLEC1B: Acts as a receptor for the platelet-aggregating snake venom protein rhodocytin. Rhodocytin binding leads to tyrosine phosphorylation and this promotes the binding of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk) and initiation of downstream tyrosine phosphorylation events and activation of PLC-gamma-2. Acts as an attachment factor for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and facilitates its capture by platelets. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.2

Cellular Component: plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; transmembrane receptor activity

Biological Process: cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; defense response; platelet activation
