Related Product Information for anti-ADI1 antibody
Introduction: Acireductone dioxygenase 1 (ADI1) is a part of the acireductone dioxygenase family of metal-binding enzymes, which are involved in methionine salvage. ADI1 regulates mRNA processing in the nucleus, and carries out different functions depending on its localization. Related pseudogenes have been defined on chromosomes 8 and 20. ADI1 down-regulates cell migration arbitrated by MMP14.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an enzyme that belongs to the aci-reductone dioxygenase family of metal-binding enzymes, which are involved in methionine salvage. This enzyme may regulate mRNA processing in the nucleus, and may carry out different functions depending on its localization. Related pseudogenes have been defined on chromosomes 8 and 20. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

ADI1: Catalyzes the formation of formate and 2-keto-4- methylthiobutyrate (KMTB) from 1,2-dihydroxy-3-keto-5- methylthiopentene (DHK-MTPene). Also down-regulates cell migration mediated by MMP14. Necessary for hepatitis C virus replication in an otherwise non-permissive cell line. Belongs to the acireductone dioxygenase (ARD) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The ADI1 adi1 (Catalog #AAA140456) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Acireductone Dioxygenase 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 ~ 1:5000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADI1 adi1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Acireductone Dioxygenase 1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
