Cell division protein FtsY homolog, chloroplastic (CPFTSY) Recombinant Protein | CPFTSY recombinant protein
Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana Cell division protein FtsY homolog, chloroplastic (CPFTSY)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
chloroplast SRP receptor homolog, alpha subunit CPFTSY. Required for LHCP integration into isolated thylakoids.
Uniprot Description
Signal recognition particle receptor protein. Binds GTP specifically. The GTPase activity is inhibited by the N-terminus of the protein until binding to the thylakoid membrane. Activates the GTPase activity of FFC/cpSRP54 when bound to the cpSRP complex. Required for light-harvesting chlorophyll a/b-binding protein (LHCP) integration into thylakoids. Might be also functionally linked to the Sec translocation machinery.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cell division protein FtsY homolog, chloroplastic (CPFTSY), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
