IL2-R alpha is one of the three constituent subunits of the IL2 receptor. IL2-R alpha is released into the serum after increased cellular expression such as increased activation of B and T cells. Clinical manifestations of IL2-R alpha elevation include autoimmune conditions and some leukaemia's and lymphomas. Recombinant IL2-R alpha comprises a 192 amino acid fragment (22-213) corresponding to the mature IL2-R alpha protein and is expressed in E Coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is not intended for therapeutic use.
