Related Product Information for CX3CL1 western blot control
Fractalkine is a large cytokine protein containing multiple domains and is the only known member of the CX3C chemokine family. Fractalkine is produced as a long protein (with 373-amino acid in humans) with an extended mucin-like stalk and a chemokine domain on top. The mucin-like stalk permits it to bind to the surface of certain cells. Fractalkine elicits its adhesive and migratory functions by interacting with the chemokine receptor CX3CR1. Recombinant Fractalkine comprises a 76 amino acid fragment (25-100) corresponding to the chemokine domain of the fractalkine protein and is expressed in E Coli with an aminoterminal hexahistidine tag. This product is not intended for therapeutic use

Uniprot Description

CX3CL1: The soluble form is chemotactic for T-cells and monocytes, but not for neutrophils. The membrane-bound form promotes adhesion of those leukocytes to endothelial cells. May play a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium. Binds to CX3CR1. Belongs to the intercrine delta family.

Product Notes

The CX3CL1 cx3cl1 (Catalog #AAA343189) is a Western Blot Control and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fractalkine, Western Blot Control" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
