Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human WASF3 and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
31.2 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml.
Sensitivity
5.0 pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated WASF3 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human WASF3 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add WASF3 and WASF3 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of WASF3 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein family. The gene product is a protein that forms a multiprotein complex that links receptor kinases and actin. Binding to actin occurs through a C-terminal verprolin homology domain in all family members. The multiprotein complex serves to tranduce signals that involve changes in cell shape, motility or function. A pseudogene of this gene have been defined on chromosome 6. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]

Uniprot Description

WASF3: Downstream effector molecules involved in the transmission of signals from tyrosine kinase receptors and small GTPases to the actin cytoskeleton. Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Required in the control of cell shape. Binds actin and the Arp2/3 complex. Expressed in ovary and brain. Belongs to the SCAR/WAVE family.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q12

Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; lamellipodium; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: actin binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of myelination; lamellipodium biogenesis; regulation of cell shape; actin filament polymerization; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; protein complex assembly; oligodendrocyte development

Product Notes

The Human WASF3 wasf3 (Catalog #AAA9316818) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9316818 ELISA Kit recognizes Human WASF3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WAS protein family, member 3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
