Related Product Information for UBE2T recombinant protein
Background: Ube2T is the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme of the Fanconi anemia DNA repair pathway and it is overexpressed in several cancers, representing an attractive target for the development of inhibitors. Notably, UBE2T locates at 1q32.1, and the gain of 1q is frequently observed in a variety of cancers. For instance, UBE2T serves an important role in the growth of bladder cancer cells, and may be considered as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for bladder cancer.

NCBI Description

The covalent conjugation of ubiquitin to proteins regulates diverse cellular pathways and proteins. Ubiquitin is transferred to a target protein through a concerted action of a ubiquitin-activating enzyme (E1), a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme (E2), such as UBE2T, and a ubiquitin ligase (E3) (Machida et al., 2006 [PubMed 16916645]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

UBE2T: Accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. Catalyzes monoubiquitination. Involved in mitomycin-C (MMC)-induced DNA repair: acts as a specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme for the Fanconi anemia complex by associating with E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase FANCL and catalyzing monoubiquitination of FANCD2, a key step in the DNA damage pathway. Also mediates monoubiquitination of FANCL and FANCI. May contribute to ubiquitination and degradation of BRCA1. In vitro able to promote polyubiquitination using all 7 ubiquitin Lys residues, but may prefer 'Lys-11'-, 'Lys-27'-, 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitination. Belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family.

Product Notes

The UBE2T ube2t (Catalog #AAA8121168) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Val19 7. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UBE2T, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
