Related Product Information for UBASH3B recombinant protein
Background: UBASH3B contains a ubiquitin associated domain at the N-terminus, an SH3 domain, and a C-terminal domain with similarities to the catalytic motif of phosphoglycerate mutase. UBASH3B was found to inhibit endocytosis of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor. UBASH3B interferes with CBL-mediated down-regulation and degradation of receptor-type tyrosine kinases. It promotes accumulation of activated target receptors, such as T-cell receptors and EGFR, on the cell surface. UBASH3B exhibits tyrosine phosphatase activity toward several substrates including EGFR, FAK, SYK, and ZAP7. Down-regulates proteins that are dually modified by both protein tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitination.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that contains a ubiquitin associated domain at the N-terminus, an SH3 domain, and a C-terminal domain with similarities to the catalytic motif of phosphoglycerate mutase. The encoded protein was found to inhibit endocytosis of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

STS-1: Interferes with CBL-mediated down-regulation and degradation of receptor-type tyrosine kinases. Promotes accumulation of activated target receptors, such as T-cell receptors and EGFR, on the cell surface. Exhibits tyrosine phosphatase activity toward several substrates including EGFR, FAK, SYK, and ZAP70. Down-regulates proteins that are dually modified by both protein tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitination.

Protein type: EC 3.1.3.48; Protein phosphatase, tyrosine (non-receptor)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q24.1

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein tyrosine phosphatase activity

Biological Process: negative regulation of protein kinase activity; regulation of release of sequestered calcium ion into cytosol

Product Notes

The UBASH3B ubash3b (Catalog #AAA8121561) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Gln382-Glu 649. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sts1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
