The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Principle of the Assay: TUBB2A ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-TUBB2A antibody and an TUBB2A-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with TUBB2A-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the TUBB2A concentration since TUBB2A from samples and TUBB2A-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-TUBB2A antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by TUBB2A from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind TUBB2A-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The TUBB2A concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Microtubules, key participants in processes such as mitosis and intracellular transport, are composed of heterodimers of alpha- and beta-tubulins. The protein encoded by this gene is a beta-tubulin. Defects in this gene are associated with complex cortical dysplasia with other brain malformations-5. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]
Uniprot Description
Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha chain ().

Product Notes
The Human TUBB2A tubb2a (Catalog #AAA7254761) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7254761 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TUBB2A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tubulin beta2A Chain, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
