Principle of the Assay: TMSB10 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-TMSB10 antibody and an TMSB10-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with TMSB10-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the TMSB10 concentration since TMSB10 from samples and TMSB10-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-TMSB10 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by TMSB10 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind TMSB10-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The TMSB10 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Uniprot Description

TMSB10: Plays an important role in the organization of the cytoskeleton. Binds to and sequesters actin monomers (G actin) and therefore inhibits actin polymerization. Belongs to the thymosin beta family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cytoskeletal

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p11.2

Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: actin monomer binding

Biological Process: sequestering of actin monomers; actin filament organization

Product Notes

The Canine TMSbeta10 tmsb10 (Catalog #AAA743822) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA743822 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine TMSbeta10. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymosin Beta 10, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
