Canine TEK Tyrosine Kinase, Endothelial ELISA Kit | Tie2 elisa kit
Canine TEK Tyrosine Kinase, Endothelial ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: Tie2 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-Tie2 antibody and an Tie2-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with Tie2-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the Tie2 concentration since Tie2 from samples and Tie2-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-Tie2 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by Tie2 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind Tie2-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The Tie2 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
TIE2: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the Tie family. Receptor for angiopoietin 1. Expressed almost exclusively in endothelial cells. May constitute the earliest mammalian endothelial cell lineage marker. Appears to be critical for endothelial cell-smooth muscle cell communication in venous morphogenesis. TEK is closely related to the TIE receptor tyrosine kinase.

Product Notes
The Canine Tie2 tek (Catalog #AAA736430) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA736430 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine Tie2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TEK Tyrosine Kinase, Endothelial, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
